Lori Flower began teaching Yoga full time in 2000 after discovering what a profound affect the practice had on her capacity to breathe deeply while saying Yes to Life and Well-being! She has taught at UVM, Champlain College, The Ayurvedic Center, Omega Institute and teaches at many yoga studios, fitness centers and spas. Flower founded Karmic Connection Yoga, a healing movement of conscious connection where we fully participate & engage in life with our exuberant creative power turned on! Certified in Acro Yoga MTL in 2011 & Thai Bodywork, Flower enjoys teaching private sessions to couples & friends in addition to leading workshops and retreats.
Clary Franko has been doing AcroYoga since 2012 and loves it for the blending of strength and breath of yoga with the playfulness of acrobatics and cooperation and communication of partner work. Clary is a certified Acro Yoga Montreal teacher. Clary is also deeply committed to environmental justice. She has worked as a community organizer and advocated as an activist.
Jeff Mandell is devoted to bringing peace and joy to the world by inspiring others to move and play. He is a certified AcroYoga teacher (Montreal Style), Laughter Yoga teacher, and has been studying and working with the body for more than 10 years. He practices Thai massage and deep-tissue massage. Jeff is also a mediator and an adjunct professor at Champlain College and the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies. Most recently Jeff is the director of the Kids4Peace summer camp. He makes sure to teach them acro yoga!
Jennifer Jang believes Acroyoga is a way to rediscover safe fun play, experience healthy touch, and build trust and connection with one another. As a certified Acroyoga Montreal teacher, Jennifer focuses on leveraging fundamental techniques to accelerates your practice. Coming from a faculty and education administrator background working at a desk job on college campuses, Jennifer aims to help other office workers reacquaint with themselves and connect with others through Acroyoga partnerships. Beyond her training and teaching experience, Jennifer has a sweet joyfulness to her that brings lightness to the practice. After joining this global Acroyoga community, Jennifer enjoys Acro-ing around the world in beautiful places such as Amsterdam, Canada, Costa Rica, France, Israel, and the U.S. She looks forward to new destinations!
Taylor Zork was first exposed to AcroYoga through Instagram, where he witnessed various yogis performing incredible feats with partners. This exposure led him to seek out studios offering AcroYoga within Burlington, where he eventually found a beginner’s series led by Clary Franko and Jennifer Jang. The immense feeling of connection that was cultivate between a group that had, up until moments before, been strangers, was what truly made this practice resonate with Taylor. Taylor has a strong desire to help guide people past the fears or insecurities they may harbor about being upside-down, and loves to work with people to help make them feel comfortable and confident whether they are basing or flying.
Abbi Jaffe is an embodiment activist and teacher, bodyworker, social worker and community builder. With her easeful, cultivated presence she authentically moves like a playful and listening animal, dancing with the earth in each moment. Abbi inspires others to follow their own body's curiosity and impulses, embrace grief and celebration, unleash their radiant resilience, and to be exquisite.
Abbi has been sharing dynamic partnering movement since 2008 and partnered with Lori Flower for many years to help build the AcroYoga community that is now thriving in Vermont (yay!, you all rock!).
